Top of the Rock
The Brittons are in town for their brothers wedding so Allison and Andy are staying with us so I tagged along with them to the Rockefeller Center last night and it was great! I was also able to see Sonja who I haven't seen in almost 3 years and realized once again that she is one of my favorite people!

Mother's Day
So first I wanted to share some feelings about how great my mom is. I have always known that my mom is incredible and we have always been really close, especially since I moved out when I was 19 but as of late I have realized it more than ever. As some of you know I was sick in the hospital and Gabe was out of town when everything happened and thank goodness my parents were in town. My mom took me to the hospital at around 9 pm and she stayed with me there until 3 am when I told her that she should go home and get some sleep (and a huge thanks to Jordan once again for watching Kayla that whole time!) I was in the hospital for 4 days and my mom was there almost all day, everyday and didn't complain about it once. It was great just having her there with me and we had some great conversation (once I could function again).

It wasn't until I got out of the hospital and felt like myself again that I was looking back on those dreadful days and realized how hard it must have been for her for a number of reasons. The sacrifices that she had to make on a daily basis to be there for me were innumerable. It made me realize once again that my mom would do anything for me. I love her so much and it is hard being so far from her and my dad. Happy Mother's Day mom and I hope you had a great day!
As for us, we went with a bunch of people to Central Park and we were able to see some amazing stuff! The rollerskating dancers were there again and Gabe got some great pictures!

Central Park
Yesterday we decided to head into Manhattan to see Central Park and it was amazing! We were there for a couple hours and probably only saw a fraction of it! I loved the atmosphere there. Gabe and I were talking yesterday about how friendly New Yorkers are, they just interact with each other a lot more than we expected. When they get behind the wheel it is another story though!

They had this space in the park blocked off for people on rollerskates and rollerblades to "dance"! They had dance music playing and it was fun to watch, some were better than others but I have never seen anything like it.

Kayla and Gabe
I can't wait until I get to know my camera better because while I was there I am sure I could have gotten some great shots but I just don't know my photography that well yet. If anyone has a Rebel XT and has some suggestions, let me know!

Fresh Start
So I decided to start fresh, I hadn't blogged in a very long time so I wanted to start from scratch!
We are officially US residents. We arrived in New York a few days ago and we have just been busy getting all set up. Here are views from our apartment.

I don't know much about New York yet but I plan on doing alot of exploring to keep checking back for updates!
And here is an 18 week picture of my belly! We went for our ultrasound and she wasn't too sure about the sex but said that she was leaning towards a girl! But we will have to go back and hopefully have a more definite answer next time. I thought that it was a boy for sure just because this pregnancy has been so different from Kayla but we will be ecstatic no matter whether it is a girl or boy!
